Personal Interests: Jimmy grew up in Philadelphia and has lived in the surrounding area for most of his life. He attended University of Notre Dame for undergrad, completed medical school at PCOM and IM residency at Temple University Hospital. His wife is a local dermatology resident and they are expecting their first child in August 2022! He enjoys endurance sports like running, swimming, cycling and triathlon competition in his free time.

Clinical Interests: Advanced heart failure and mechanical support devices, and non-ischemic cardiomyopathies. Research interests include non-ischemic cardiomyopathies, mechanical support devices, and novel trans catheter valve interventions.
Professional Goals: I hope to pursue a career in interventional/structural cardiology, but I am very much so undecided currently and am excited to get meaningful experiences in fellowship!
Personal Interests: Kyle is currently am living across the country from his wife, May, who is completing her final year of dermatology residency at OHSU before joining him next year. In his spare time, he likes to exercise, play pickup basketball, watch TV, and spend time with his wife and their three year old dog, Georgia, who is a Cavachon (mix between Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and Bichon Frise).

Personal Interests: Daniel Ricketti grew up in southern New Jersey and has spent most of his professional life there. He completed residency at Cooper University where he served as both a third and fourth year chief resident. Professional interests have included public health and advocacy. He has served on multiple regional and national committees including the chair of the ACP-NJ resident committee, member of the AMA resident and fellow section committee of public health, and as an alternative delegate to the AMA House of Delegates. He currently resides in Cherry Hill, NJ. In his spare time he enjoys spending time outdoors by going hiking and camping.

She currently lives in Philadelphia with her husband and 4 month old. Whenever she can she loves to travel (even with a baby!) and explore the Philly restaurant scene.

Personal Interests: Naman has been a life-long Philadelphia native where he completed medical school and residency as well. He was awarded Outstanding Teaching Resident (PGY2) of the Year at Jefferson and continues to love medical education. His research interests include quality improvement, DOAC usage in CKD and ESRD, and atrial fibrillation. He hopes to pursue a career in either EP or advanced imaging. In his spare time, he likes to travel to national parks, go biking including peloton, and try the latest board game.

Personal Interests: Lowell Safren was born in Annandale, VA, and grew up primarily in Ellicott City, MD. He attended college at Vanderbilt University and medical school at Cooper Medical School of Rowan University. He completed residency at Georgetown University Hospital where he won a departmental research award. His academic interests include outcomes and prevention research. He is undecided on his ultimate area of focus within cardiology.

He currently resides in Philadelphia. In his spare time, he likes to play soccer, tennis, lift weights, and play trivia. He is a life-long, suffering fan of the Football Team in Washington.

Personal Interests: Jetmir grew up in Diber, Macedonia and moved to the United States as a teenager. New Jersey/Philadelphia have become his new adopted home. He completed residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Research interests include: GDMT optimization in heart failure, implementation of cardiac imaging for the early detection of atherosclerosis and high risk markers. He hopes to pursue a fulfilling career in Cardiology that will allow him to continue treating complex and high risk patients, as well as continuing to be involved in medical education. He currently lives in Philadelphia, PA. He loves staying active, running, hiking, playing basketball and spike ball with his friends. He loves a good non-fiction book especially history, road trips and the Jersey beaches.

Outside of medicine his interests including playing golf, fishing and spending time with family and friends.

Clinical Interests: Interventional cardiology (will be staying at Cooper for Interventional sub-fellowship) and catheter based treatment for pulmonary embolus.
Personal Interests: Greg Miller will be one of the two chief fellows for the 2022-23 academic year, and will be staying At Cooper Hospital afterwards to pursue Interventional Cardiology training. His research interests include high risk pulmonary embolism and optimal selection of patients for catheter based treatments. Outside of the hospital, he is a diehard Orioles, Ravens, and Capitals fan. When not watching his teams lose, he can be found in Rittenhouse Park with his golden retriever or planning his next hiking or skiing trip.

Clinical Interests: Imaging of ischemic heart disease and role of imaging in cardiomyopathies, non-invasive assessment of hemodynamics, and congestive heart failure and quality of life in patients with advanced heart failure.
Personal Interests: Vikas grew up in the small town of Sewickley, PA, just north of Pittsburgh where he attended the same independent school for thirteen years and then moved out to Boston to attend Boston College honors program for undergraduate studies. He then moved to Philadelphia to attend medical school at Temple and decided to stay in Philadelphia to train at Thomas Jefferson Hospital for residency. Research interests include cardiac imaging and he is interested in pursuing a career as an imaging-based clinical cardiologist after some advanced training in cardiac imaging. In his spare time, he enjoys playing tennis and trying all the restaurants in Center City.

Personal Interests: Mike grew up in Maryland but has been living in the Philly/South Jersey area since college (at Penn), and considers himself to be a transplant to the area. He is hoping to pursue a career in non-invasive cardiology or heart failure in the future, and is interested in improving outcomes of patients with heart failure and with cardiogenic shock. He is also passionate about teaching residents and medical students, and participates in Cooper medical school activities as a clinical instructor. In his spare time, he enjoys cooking, biking, and playing music (drums, piano, and guitar).

Personal Interests: Josh grew up in Cherry Hill, NJ. He is a graduate of Cornell University. After college, he studied bioethics at the University of Pennsylvania before attending medical school as a member of the charter class of Cooper Medical School of Rowan University in Camden, NJ. During medical school Josh served as a national leader of the American Medical Student Association (AMSA) and served multiple terms on the organization's Board of Trustees. After medical school, Josh completed Internal Medicine Residency at Cooper University Hospital. He was awarded Resident of the Year in 2019 and served as a Chief Resident in 2020. He subsequently began Cardiology Fellowship at Cooper. He has published research projects investigating cholesterol-lowering medication as well as another studying implantable cardiac monitors for the detection of arrhythmia and presented these findings at the Heart Rhythm Society national meeting. He hopes to pursue a career as an academic cardiologist. Outside of medicine, Josh is an avid sports fan and loves spending time with his family, including his wife and one year old daughter.
