The anesthesia department offers a four-week clerkship in Anesthesiology for fourth year medical students. While on rotation, students will become part of the anesthesia team where they will have an opportunity to use the perioperative and obstetric environments as back-drops to learn about a variety of patients and disease processes. Emphasis throughout the rotation will be placed on learning the pathophysiology of disease and the implications for the anesthetic management of the patient. In addition to the clinical environment, student will gain exposure to the simulation lab where they will have an opportunity to practice airway management skills.
